HDFC Bank Q3 result: Private sector giant HDFC Bank has released its third quarter results. HDFC Bank’s net profit rose 18.1 per cent to Rs 10,342 crore in the third quarter ended December 31. In the second quarter of the current financial year ended September 2021, there was an increase of 18 percent in the net lakhs of the bank. At that time the profit had increased to Rs 9,096 crore.
HDFC Bank had reported a net profit of Rs 8,758.29 crore in the corresponding third quarter of the last financial year.
HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing – the total income of the bank increased from Rs 40,651.60 to Rs 40,651.60 crore, as compared to Rs 37,522.92 crore during the third quarter of FY 2011.

The bank’s net revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 grew by 12.1 per cent to Rs 26,627.0 crore as against Rs 23,760.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020.
The consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 stood at Rs 10,591 crore, which is 20.8 per cent higher as compared to the quarter ended December 31, 2020. As on December 31, 2021, HDFC Bank has a network of 5,779 branches and 17,238 ATM machines in 2,956 cities/towns.
Increase in NPAs
This private bank has registered an increase in the bad loan ratio with gross non-performing assets (NPA-NPA) to 1.26 per cent of the gross advances in the third quarter of FY 2022. In the third quarter of the last financial year, the NPA was 0.81 percent.
The size of the bank’s balance sheet as on December 31, 2021 was Rs 1,938,286 crore, while it had a balance sheet of Rs 1,654,228 crore as of December 31, 2020. It registered an increase of 17.2 percent as compared to the previous year. The total deposits in the third quarter of FY 2022 were Rs 1,445,918 crore, which is 13.8 percent higher as compared to December 31, 2020.
