Chakrata : This time tourists will be able to live a unique and exciting experience in Chakrata, Uttarakhand. Like Mussoorie, now Winter Line and Stargazing Carnival is going to be organized in Chakrata for the first time. Winterline is a wonderful natural phenomenon, which is visible only in a few places in the world and Chakrata is also included in select hill stations of Uttarakhand. The view of Winterline visible from here is very charming, which attracts thousands of tourists every year.

In fact, where Winterline Carnival is organized every year in Mussoorie with the help of Uttarakhand Government, taking this tradition forward, retired Colonel Anup Panwar has taken a big initiative towards promoting tourism in Chakrata. Under his leadership, Chakrata’s first Winter Line and Stargazing Carnival will be organized from 24 December to 1 January 2026.

In this carnival, tourists will not only be able to enjoy the view of the magical Winter Line, but will also be able to taste stargazing, hiking, local folk dance and traditional mountain cuisine. This event will give new energy to the local culture and tourism of Chakrata as well as promote economic activities in the area.

This first Winterline and Stargazing Carnival of Chakrata is being organized at Dharandhar View Point, which is famous for its peace, altitude and beautiful natural views. The event is expected to increase local employment opportunities, support small businesses and establish Chakrata as a major destination on the tourism map of Uttarakhand.
