Jamboree first international competition: International Scout-Guide Jamboree is going to be organized for the first time in Balod, Chhattisgarh. This program will be held from January 9 to 14 at Malighori ground, in which about 12 thousand participants from India and abroad will participate. The event is being organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary. Preparations are going on in full swing from the administration and organization.
History is going to be created in Balod district of Chhattisgarh, where for the first time, the Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides will be organized at the international level. This big event will be organized from 9 to 14 January 2026 at Malighori ground. The program is being organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Scout-Guide Organization, preparations for which are going on at a fast pace.
The grandeur of the program can be gauged from the fact that about 12 thousand scouts and guides from all over the world will participate in this event. Chief Commissioner Inderjit Singh Chhabra said that along with the country, foreign representatives will also be present in this event. He inspected the site on Thursday and instructed the officials to complete all the work within the time limit.
Participants in the age group of 15 to 25 years will participate in this huge program. Since the event is of national level, the Chief Minister of the state, senior officials of the Central Government and many special guests will also participate. Arrangements for accommodation, security and catering of the participants are being ensured at a high level, so that no one faces any kind of problem.

Malighori ground is being transformed into a temporary city. Here 12 huge pandals, electricity, drinking water, toilets, communication centres, medical facilities and security arrangements are being developed. A temporary stadium will also be built in the program complex, where cultural and formal programs will be organised.
The organizing committee is busy preparing to make this historic program successful with the help of local public representatives, gram panchayats and villagers. This program is being considered as the biggest Scout-Guide conference ever in India, which is a proud moment for Balod district.
The objective of the Scout and Guide organization is to develop character building, leadership ability, service spirit and self-reliance among the youth. Scout-Guide activities include camping, social service, community development and skill training. This grand event will give thousands of youth an opportunity to learn, share experiences and connect at the international level.
