The effect of winter is continuously increasing in Haryana. In the last days of December, fog has engulfed the entire state. Early in the morning, the situation becomes such that even the road ahead is not visible and visibility has reached zero in many places. In fact, along with fog, severe cold has started in Haryana. Dense smog was seen in 20 districts of Haryana recently. Whereas on 20th December i.e. yesterday, the lowest temperature was recorded at 5.2 degree Celsius in the morning in Jind district of Haryana, while in the afternoon the highest temperature was recorded at 24.8 degree Celsius in Mahendragarh district. This morning’s temperature in Haryana is 14°C.
According to Dr. Madan Lal Khichad, Chairman of Agricultural Meteorological Department, Hisar, the weather in Haryana has been experiencing light to moderate north and north-west cold wave since December 20, whereas now a drop in temperature can be recorded from night time onwards. IMD says that people will need to be very cautious for the next few days. Because now from December 22, cold wave will start rapidly in Haryana, there will be cloudy sky and light rain, due to which the temperature will drop rapidly. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in 16 districts of Haryana, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Jind, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal and Nuh, because the weather will change rapidly from December 22. Due to cold winds, the chill will increase, there will be clouds and the temperature will drop rapidly, and a drop in the maximum temperature will be recorded. The weather is expected to remain clear from December 23, but the night temperature may drop further. Farmers have been advised to be alert due to the possibility of frost in rural areas. Along with this, dense fog may occur on the morning of 24th December, which will affect visibility, road and rail traffic may be affected, but there is also a possibility of cloudy sky.
The cold may be at its peak on 25th December i.e. Christmas day, the minimum temperature in the areas of North Haryana may go around 4 degrees Celsius. Due to cold winds, the cold will feel more intense. The weather will remain dry on 26th December. There may be fog in the morning and light sunshine during the day. There is no possibility of much change in temperature. Whereas on December 27, the weather will remain generally cold. In some districts, light fog may be seen in the morning, while the weather will remain clear during the day. Agricultural scientists have issued an advisory for farmers in view of the fog. Farmers planting wheat and mustard crops should irrigate in the afternoon instead of in the morning. Do only light irrigation in mustard and do not allow water to stagnate.
AQI level worsened
Along with the effect of cold, the AQI level is also getting worse in Haryana. Let us tell you that according to aqi.in, while the AQI level of the capital Delhi is 517, the AQI level of Gurugram district of Haryana has been recorded at 360. The AQI level of Faridabad district has been recorded at 275, while the AQI level of Ambala district has been recorded at 248.
