Haryana Weather: The weather has suddenly taken a turn in Haryana. With the drop in temperature, the cold has increased and there is dense fog in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold may become more severe in the coming days, hence people have been advised to remain alert.
Faridabad: It is extremely cold in Haryana at this time. The weather is changing rapidly and the coldness of the winds has also increased. The latest report of the Meteorological Department says that the temperature has dropped in the state. On December 17, the average maximum temperature of Haryana has decreased by about 0.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature is still around normal but the shiver in the air is clearly felt.
Talking about Faridabad, there is dense fog since this morning. Fog had accumulated since night and it was difficult to see anything clearly even till six in the morning. Cars were moving slowly on the roads with headlights on. The Meteorological Department has advised to travel with caution during such times.
Scientists of Chandigarh Meteorological Center are saying that due to changing direction of winds in North India and cold winds descending from the mountains, the cold has increased in the plains. The cold may become more intense in the coming days. There is no hope of rain and the weather will remain dry. Not only is there a chill in the morning and evening, now the effect of sunlight has started reducing in the afternoon also. That means real winter has arrived.
Now if we look at the temperature of the districts, the highest temperature of the state was recorded in Bhiwani today at 26 degrees Celsius. The mercury fell to only 18 degrees in Panchkula, which is much lower than normal. The temperature was 23 degrees in Chandigarh, 19.3 degrees in Ambala and around 24 degrees in Hisar-Sirsa. The temperature in Gurugram and Faridabad remained between 23 to 25 degrees.
There was a significant drop in temperature in some districts. In Panchkula the temperature dropped by 6.5 degrees in the last 24 hours. A fall of 5.2 degrees was recorded in Karnal and 4.8 degrees in Ambala. A slight increase has also been seen in Sirsa and Bhiwani. There has been no rain at all in the entire state so far.
Dr. Madan Lal Khichad, Head of the Agricultural Meteorological Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, says that the weather will remain dry and slightly variable till December 20. Due to northern winds, further drop in night temperature is possible while there may be a slight rise during the day. By December 20, a new western disturbance will affect which may cause clouds at times. Due to this, the day temperature may go down further while the night temperature may go up slightly.
The advice for farmers and common people is to be careful according to the weather. Mild cold has started and in such a situation the risk of cold also increases. Wear warm clothes in the morning and evening. Now real winters have arrived in Haryana, so be prepared.
