As much as the winter season is pleasant, it also proves to be challenging for the hair. Due to cold air, low humidity and changing lifestyle, the problem of hair fall increases rapidly in this season. Many people consider it normal and ignore it, but if timely attention is not given, this problem can become serious. In winter, hair becomes dry, weak and lifeless, due to which hair fall increases.
In winter, there is lack of moisture in the environment, due to which the scalp starts becoming dry. The problem of itching, dandruff and flakes increases in dry scalp. When the scalp is not healthy, the hair roots become weak. Cold air also removes the natural oil of the hair. This has a direct effect on the strength of the hair and the hair starts breaking and falling easily.
In winter, most people like to bathe with hot water. But washing hair with too hot water can be harmful for hair. Hot water completely removes the natural oil from the scalp. Due to this the hair becomes dry and lifeless. By doing this repeatedly, the hair roots become weak and hair fall starts increasing. Use of lukewarm water is considered a better option.

Without proper nutrition, hair becomes weak and starts breaking quickly.
Hair needs extra care in winter. In this season, hair growth slows down and chances of breakage are high. If proper hair care routine is adopted in time, hair fall can be prevented to a great extent. Hair health can be maintained with mild shampoo, regular oiling and proper conditioning.
In winter, massaging with oil at least twice a week is very beneficial. Massaging the scalp with coconut oil, almond oil or mustard oil improves blood circulation. This strengthens the hair roots. Apart from this, applying light conditioner or serum after washing hair keeps the hair moisturized and reduces the problem of breakage.
Proper diet is very important to make hair strong from inside. In winter, protein, green vegetables, dry fruits and seasonal fruits should be included in the diet. Drinking adequate amount of water is equally important. Water flushes out toxins from the body and keeps the scalp hydrated.
