Hair Beauty tips in winter: By adopting the right routine, the problem of hair fall, dryness, dandruff and breakage can be easily avoided in winter. Talking to Local 18, Rae Bareli’s beautician Rashmi Singh says that with a little care and nutritious food, hair can remain thick, soft and shiny even in cold weather.
In the winter season, when the skin becomes dry, the hair also starts falling due to lack of moisture, becoming dry and lifeless. Due to dry scalp, the problems of itching, dandruff and split ends also increase. In such a situation, it is important that the hair gets special care according to the season so that the hair not only does not break but also becomes healthier and shinier than before.
First of all let’s talk about oiling. In summer, people often apply less oil, but in winter, hair needs nutrition the most. Massaging with lukewarm coconut, almond or olive oil 2-3 times a week increases blood circulation in the scalp and strengthens the hair roots. It is considered better to leave oil overnight and wash hair with mild shampoo the next day.
Choosing shampoo is also important in winter. Continuous use of shampoos containing too many chemicals or anti-dandruff shampoos can make hair more dry. In such a situation, use sulphate-free, mild or moisturizing shampoo. Frequent shampooing also removes moisture, so shampooing twice a week is sufficient. One should not forget conditioner after shampoo. It locks moisture in the hair and prevents tangling and breakage of hair in winter.

Hair masks are also very beneficial in this season. Applying a mixture of curd and fenugreek, paste of banana and honey, or a pack of aloe vera gel and coconut oil once a week increases the softness and shine of the hair. This also reduces the problem of dandruff and itching.
Many people make the mistake of washing their hair with hot water in winter, which is most harmful for the hair. Too hot water weakens the hair roots and leads to hair fall. It is always better to wash hair with lukewarm or normal water. Instead of rubbing wet hair vigorously with a towel, dry it gently with a microfiber towel.
Diet also has a big impact on the quality of hair. In winter, consumption of seasonal fruits and vegetables, pulses, eggs, dry fruits and adequate water makes the hair strong from within.
