Rudrapur: A shocking case has come to light in Rudrapur district of Uttarakhand, where the police did strange things. In a case of mistaken identity, Udham Singh Nagar police interrogated a lawyer named Mayank Sharma for hours on Friday. When the police realized that they had picked up the wrong person, they apologized and released lawyer Mayank Sharma. But angry lawyers blocked the Nainital Delhi National Highway.

After a long period of persuasion, the lawyers broke the logjam, but kept the condition that immediate action should be taken against the guilty police personnel. In fact, on Thursday, a complaint was given to the Transit Camp police station of Rudrapur in which it was alleged that a person named Mayank Sharma had raped a minor. On receiving the complaint, the police hurriedly arrested a lawyer named Mayank Sharma. Those who had to face embarrassment due to the mistake of the police.

Meanwhile, victim advocate Mayank Sharma has demanded that the police apologize for the misbehavior with him. Police officers came to the spot and apologized not only to him but to the entire advocate community. Advocate Mayank also said that a female SI has spoken very badly about the lawyers and she should also apologize for what she said. Let us tell you that as soon as the advocates came to know about the actions of the police, they immediately came on the road and started raising slogans. Police officers immediately reached the spot and started trying to pacify the lawyers. However, after much persuasion, the advocate agreed and returned back from the road.
