Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has issued a notice to senior Congress party leader Sonia Gandhi. This notice has been issued while hearing a petition, in which a demand has been made to register an FIR against Sonia Gandhi. The court has also sought answers from Delhi Police in this matter. Now the next hearing in this case will be held on January 6.
In fact, recently, amid the ongoing controversy regarding SIR, it was claimed that Sonia Gandhi’s name was allegedly registered in the electoral roll before becoming an Indian citizen. The petitioner has demanded from the court that this entire matter should be seriously investigated and if the allegations are found true then legal action should be taken against Sonia Gandhi.
Taking this petition seriously, the court has issued notices to both Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Police and considered it necessary to know their side. Now instructions have been given from both the parties to present replies in this matter on the next date of hearing.
It has also been said in the petition that if a person registers his name in the voter list without becoming an Indian citizen, then it is considered a serious violation of the law. On this basis, a demand has been made to register an FIR.
At present, no official response has come from Sonia Gandhi in this matter. At the same time, Delhi Police is also preparing to present its side in the court. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the next hearing of the court, where the further direction in this case will be decided.
