The danger for such people has increased. A shocking thing has been caught in the report of the Food Department in Gorakhpur. These can cause liver and kidney damage. Allergy, stomach ache and even jaundice may occur.
Gorakhpur. If you are fond of biryani, laddu, paneer or spices available in the market, then it is important to be alert now. The recent investigation report of the Food Safety Department has made a big revelation. Dangerous adulteration has been found in the food items sold at many shops in Gorakhpur city. The reports of a total of six samples taken two months ago have failed. This report has revealed serious issues like synthetic colours, bad oil, spices and adulterated cheese, which can directly affect your health. According to the investigation report, bad oil was found in the gram flour laddu taken from an establishment located at Jatashankar Chowk. The quantity of ‘volatile oil’ in the sample of cumin powder was found to be less than the standard, due to which it proved to be bad.
It is being told that grass being brought from Gujarat is being mixed in this spice, which is a big food crime. The sample of cheese taken from Khajni has also raised concerns. The amount of milk fat in the cheese was found to be only 42.1 percent, whereas the standard is 50 percent i.e. the cheese was completely adulterated.
synthetic colored biryani
Synthetic color has been confirmed in veg biryani taken from a shop. This color is added to make the food look shiny and tasty, but it is very harmful for health. Similarly, in a sample of refined soybean oil taken from a shop, the acid value was found to be very high, which proves that the oil was reheated and used several times. It can have serious effects on the stomach and liver.
what do doctors say
According to the physician of Gorakhpur, foods containing synthetic colors and chemicals have a direct effect on the liver and kidneys of the body. Consuming such adulterated food can cause allergies, stomach ache, cramps and even jaundice. Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh said that the reports of six samples have failed. In all cases, cases will be filed in the court under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. Action against adulterators will continue.
