Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the results of the recently concluded Gujarat assembly elections are important not only for the state but for the entire country as it sends a message that Narendra Modi will be re-elected as the Prime Minister in 2024. . In an apparent reference to the opposition Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Shah said the people of Gujarat have helped the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) retain power in Gujarat with a record number of seats in the state. Responded to people who tried to defame the state and PM Modi.
“The people of Gujarat have worked to eliminate the poison of casteism and have given a slap on the faces of those who make hollow, false and attractive promises,” Shah said at the foundation stone laying and inauguration program of various projects here. The people of Gujarat have given a befitting reply to those who tried to defame Gujarat and Narendra Modi. He said, ‘This result is not important for Gujarat alone. Elections will be held in 2024 (Lok Sabha) and the whole country is ready to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister once again. The senior BJP leader said that the message from Gujarat has reached from Kashmir to Kanyakumari (North to South in the country) and from Dwarka to Kamakhya (West to East) that “Modi Sahib will again become the Prime Minister in 2024”.

Shah said there was no need to elaborate on the work done by the BJP government for the development of the state as the people have given their answer in the elections. He said, ‘There is not a single state where any party has ruled continuously for 27 years. Gujarat is the only state where the BJP has ruled (for 27 years and more). Shah said that when the Gujarat elections were announced, the Congress claimed that this time it was its chance. He said, ‘People from Delhi also reached here with the promise of giving this and that for free.’ He said that despite all this, when the results were declared, the BJP emerged as the winner with a record 156 seats (out of a total of 182 in Gujarat).
The Union Minister said that every BJP worker in the state is indebted to the people for their support and takes pride in this fact. He said that out of 40 seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste candidates in the state, the party won 34 seats. Shah said that Prime Minister Modi not only worked to provide basic amenities at the village level, but also built the world’s tallest Statue of Unity (in Narmada district), the world’s largest stadium named after Narendra Modi (in Ahmedabad) and Gujarat By making International Finance Tech-City (Gandhinagar), many works were done in the direction of making Gujarat number one in the world.

Talking about cleanliness, Shah said that unless people work together, no government can make a village or city clean. He said, ‘Cleanliness is the first condition for good health. Prime Minister Modi is going to build a big health center. It is easy to make a health center … but it is better that there is no chance of falling sick and there is no need to go to the health center. For this we have to keep our villages clean. Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various projects in the Gandhinagar-North assembly constituency and also launched a campaign for plastic-free villages from Moti Adraj village in the state capital.
