Agra: After the Delhi bomb blast, alert is on in the entire country and every small and big place has been kept under strict surveillance. Even in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, extensive security arrangements were made after the Delhi blasts. Police personnel were deployed at many places in Agra including Taj Mahal, Railway Station, Bus Stand. Every visitor was being checked and interrogated, but nothing was visible in the name of security at Idgah railway station in Agra city.

Zero arrangement in the name of security

Anyone can easily enter the platform at Agra Railway Station by taking a ticket. Neither any police personnel nor metal detectors were seen at the station for checking. This negligence of the officers should not prove costly. Thousands of people undertake their journey from Agra Idgah Railway Station. This station is built in the middle of the city. Police line and district headquarters have been built near the station. There is a populated area nearby, but in the name of security there is zero arrangement here.

When the team of Local 18 reached ground zero at Idgah railway station in Agra, there was a joke going on in the name of security. Neither any police personnel was seen at the station nor any checking was done before entering inside. Even metal detectors were not visible anywhere at the station. People were easily coming to the station and platform. In such a situation, the security claims here appeared to have failed. Now call it carelessness or ignorance of the officials, but it should not lead to a major accident someday, because any passenger can easily travel by train from here and cause some incident.
