The reality of the government promises revealed
When the News 18 Local team reached the ground to investigate the government’s pothole-free campaign, the government’s claims were exposed. While giving information, local people said that since last 4 years there have been huge potholes on the road, but no one is paying attention due to which road accidents happen every day. Even during the rainy season, the road gets filled with water, which becomes very difficult to remove.
There are huge potholes on the about 2.5 kilometer road from Kukra to Paharpur under Palia assembly constituency, due to which people face a lot of problems.

While talking, Harjeet Singh said that for many years there have been huge potholes and stones lying on the road due to which one has to face a lot of difficulty in removing them and sometimes even motorcycles have been punctured. But there is no one to pay attention.
Accidents happen every day
While talking to Gautam Chandra, a resident of Bengali Colony, he said that people of many villages travel on this road every day. People also have to face a lot of problems due to big potholes on the road. Many times, the balance of the motorcycle gets lost, the bike falls and people get injured, but the effect of the pothole-free campaign of the state government is not visible in Palia assembly constituency.
Things are getting worse
While giving information, Amit said that during the rainy season, the pits get filled with water. In such a situation, one has to face a lot of difficulties even in coming out. At this time the potholes have become bigger and the dust is flying due to which people have to face a lot of problems and there is no one to pay attention to this road due to which the troubles of the people keep increasing.
Regional MLA gave assurance
When we talked to regional MLA Romi Sahni about this matter, he told us that this road will be repaired as soon as possible, which will provide convenience to the local people.
