Government Model Culture Primary Schools were started in Haryana to make government schools better than private schools and to provide the best educational facilities to the children studying here, but recently the reaction of the Governor who suddenly visited a school in Panchkula is now going viral. As soon as Governor Professor Aseem Ghosh suddenly arrived to see the school, he saw something such that he had to take out a handkerchief and cover his face.
During the inspection of the school he expressed his desire to see the toilet. When he was taken to the toilets, he became upset after seeing the condition there. The smell coming from the toilets was so bad that he took out a handkerchief and covered his nose and mouth. Then the staff present in the school told him that this was a girls’ toilet. There was no water supply and the doors were also found broken. The Governor became very angry at this and directed to immediately improve the condition of the toilets, classrooms and halls of the school.
Not only this, when he asked how to climb on the roof of the school, the staff told that there is no ladder to climb on the roof, they climb on the roof, the Governor was quite surprised at this. However, as soon as he left, the Director of Secondary Education issued a letter ordering all the district education officers to immediately clean the toilets and get all the arrangements in place.
When the letter was released after the Governor’s visit, the parents of Haryana Parent Unity Manch said that this is a basic thing for schools which must be organized. These letters should also be issued from time to time, but now when the Governor has visited, the officers are active only till then, then they will sleep peacefully.
Regarding this, Ekta Manch official Kailash Sharma said that all the MLAs and councilors are requested to inspect all the government schools in their respective areas. Find out the deficiencies in the condition of toilets, cleanliness, clean drinking water and all other basic facilities and get them rectified. The forum says that the condition of toilets in government schools is worrying, there are broken toilets, due to which children face problems. Apart from this, there is lack of cleanliness, problem of drinking water and many other basic facilities in many schools, due to which the life of children is difficult.
