Godda: Due to abundance of water resources in Godda district of Jharkhand, a large number of fishermen earn their livelihood from fish farming. Fish farming is continuously increasing in many small and big reservoirs including the famous Sundar Dam of the district. In such a situation, to provide modern facilities to the fishermen and ensure increase in their income, District Fisheries Office, Godda has started a special scheme for the fishermen. Under this scheme, now up to 90 percent grant amount is being provided to them for purchasing a motorboat.
