Bhagalpur News: A shocking incident came to light from Bhagalpur. During police checking here, 4 smugglers were arrested, one of whom is a government doctor. Smack was recovered from them.

Bhagalpur: Bhagalpur police of Bihar arrested 4 smack smugglers. Even the police were surprised to know the identity of one of them. One of the smugglers is a government doctor. 200 grams of smack has been recovered from the accused. This action has created a stir in the entire district, because among the smugglers caught is a government doctor working in Bihpur Railway Hospital. The police is considering this big revelation as a big blow to the drug smuggling network.
Navgachia SDPO Omprakash told a press conference that the police had received secret information that a large consignment of brown sugar was being brought from Araria to Bihpur in a Scorpio. As soon as the information was received, a special team was formed on the instructions of SP Prerna Kumar and immediately intensive checking of vehicles was started near Railway Dhala of Bihpur police station area. During checking, the police noticed Jharkhand number Scorpio (JH21K 2265). When the vehicle was stopped and checked, approximately 198.54 grams of brown sugar was recovered from Shivam Kumar alias Monu. The police arrested all the four accused in the vehicle on the spot.
4 smugglers arrested
The identities of the arrested accused are as follows, Shivam Kumar alias Monu, resident of Sonvarsha, Bihpur, Piyush Kumar, resident of Sonvarsha, Bihpur, Rajesh Kumar, resident of Veerbanna, Bhawanipur, Dr. Alok Kumar, government doctor, Bihpur Railway Hospital, resident of Purnia. The most shocking thing that came to light was that government doctor Dr. Alok Kumar was also a part of this smuggling racket. His involvement has created a stir in the health department as well. During interrogation, all the accused admitted that they used to buy brown sugar from Araria district and supply it to Navgachia, Bihpur, Bhawanipur and surrounding areas. Police suspect that through them the drug trade had spread to many districts.
Police have also released the list of things found from the accused.

A case has been registered against all of them under NDPS Act in Bihpur police station and they have been sent to jail. Police are conducting raids to catch other people involved in this network. SDPO says that the involvement of a government doctor in drug trafficking is a serious signal for the society and it is clear how deep the roots of drug trafficking are.
