Success Story: Inspired by PM Modi’s initiative during the Covid period, female entrepreneur Neelam Singh of Aligarh set up a digital lock unit with her husband. Today, with the help of Yogi government’s ODOP scheme, the digital locks made here are being exported to India and abroad and 25 people have got employment.
AligarhTaking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of finding opportunities in disaster during the Covid period, a female entrepreneur from Aligarh along with her husband, a software engineer, set up a digital lock unit, With the help of One District One Product (ODOP) scheme of the Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh, by setting up a unit, digital locks are being prepared in it and are being exported to the country and abroad, This unit, which started with 4 to 5 people, has now reached 20 to 25, In which educated engineers are preparing digital locks,
Giving information, entrepreneur Neelam Singh, who established the digital lock unit, said that taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign of Digital India, Self-reliant India, Make in India, we established this unit by receiving the assistance of Rs 10 lakh from Yogi government’s One District, One Product i.e. ODOP, in which we got a rebate of Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand. Today we are manufacturing digital locks and exporting them within the country and abroad and we feel very happy that we are providing employment to the people by staying in Aligarh. My husband has supported me a lot in this work. He has contributed fully in fulfilling my dream.
At the same time, Digital Lock Engineer Deependra Rana, who has done Diploma in Electronics, said that we are preparing digital locks in our city and those digital locks are used in the country and abroad, which makes him feel proud. Earlier, we had to work hard in making locks by hand and the salary was also not very high, but we are getting a good salary in making digital locks and we are very happy.
