New Delhi. There is great relief news for the farmers. The farmers of West Bengal will now be given Rs 10,000 per year. This amount will be given to the farmers under Krishak Bandhu Scheme. The proposal was approved in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Naban, the state secretariat on Thursday. Under the Krishak Bandhu Yojana, it has been decided to increase the annual financial assistance to the farmers from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000.
Those with less land also benefit
The state government has announced that under the Krishak Bandhu scheme, Rs 10,000 will be given annually to the farmers of the state. Earlier, the amount received by the farmers was Rs 6,000. Along with this, the Mamta government has also decided that farmers who have less than one acre of land will now get Rs 4,000 instead of Rs 2,000. Let us inform that before the elections, the Mamta government had promised to increase the assistance amount to the farmers, on which the approval has now been stamped.

After the West Bengal assembly elections, money is being sent to the bank accounts of the farmers of the state under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM Kisan). Under this scheme, farmers are given Rs 2,000 (Rs 6,000) every three months for a year. Meanwhile, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has announced to give 10,000 rupees annually for the farmers.
