Beneficiaries will have to submit photocopy of Aadhar card, land documents and an affidavit along with the application form. After verification of documents, the benefits of the scheme will be made available within about a month.
Goddah A big good news has emerged for the fish traders of Godda district. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, the government is now providing special assistance of up to Rs 75 thousand to fish traders at a subsidy of 90%. The biggest advantage of this scheme is that the beneficiaries will have to contribute only Rs 7,500 i.e. only 10% of the total cost. In return, they will be provided motorcycles and ice boxes by the government, so that they can easily travel from village to village to sell fish and increase their income.

This scheme is being implemented in the district under the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan and has been reserved exclusively for the beneficiaries of the Scheduled Tribe category. The aim of the government is to make traditional fish traders more economically capable by providing them modern equipment. While getting a motorcycle and ice box will make their journey easier, the facility to keep fish fresh will also increase sales.

District Fisheries Officer said that this scheme will not only increase the income of fish traders, but will also strengthen the fish production and marketing system in the district. Many fishermen, who till now were able to do business on a limited scale due to lack of resources, will now be able to expand their business by using this facility. The government believes that this initiative will prove to be an effective step towards the economic upliftment of the tribal community. There is huge enthusiasm about this scheme among the fish traders of Godda and a large number of beneficiaries are contacting the department for the application process.
