There is good news for the farmers of Bhakkudiya village of Rohtas. Here the department will provide training to farmers in modern farming. Farmers of other nearby villages will also be able to take steps towards increasing income and becoming self-reliant by adopting integrated and modern agricultural techniques.
Rohtas. There is a big good news for the farmers of Dehri on Son block of Rohtas district. Under the initiative of the local agriculture department, Bhakkudiya village of Patpura Panchayat will be developed as an agricultural model village. The main objective of this scheme is to make all the farmers of the village technically capable and increase their income. For this, integrated farming system will be implemented in the village so that farmers will be able to benefit from diverse farming and animal husbandry.
There will be skill development
Agriculture Department officials say that the benefits of all the schemes run by the department will reach the farmers in the selected model villages. This will develop the skills of the farmers here and introduce them to modern agricultural techniques. Atma will organize training programs for farmers in national level agricultural institutes so that they can become technically and practically competent.
Farmers will get training in clusters
To develop Bhadkudiya as a model agricultural village, special emphasis will be laid on agricultural horticulture, vegetable production, beekeeping, mushroom production, animal husbandry, fisheries, fodder production, dairy development, organic farming and natural farming. Apart from this, herbal production and other income enhancing agricultural activities will also be included. Farmers will be given training in integrated farming by forming clusters of 10 acres each in the selected villages.
Bhakurdiya will be developed as a model village
Atma official Ajay Shankar Tiwari said that Bhadkudiya will be developed as a model village so that farmers of other villages can also learn from here and adopt integrated and scientific farming. He said that the process of selection of Model Agricultural Village has been completed and now its detailed implementation will be started.
The main objective is to increase the income of farmers
According to the Block Agriculture Officer, the main objective in the work plan for the financial year 2025-26 is to increase the income of farmers. Under this scheme, efforts will be made to provide farmers the right price for their produce, ensure year-round production of crops and adopt income enhancing activities. The entire program will be conducted under the direction of District Agriculture Officer-cum-Project Director Atma, Rohtas. With this initiative, not only the farmers of Bhadkudiya but also the farmers of other nearby villages will be able to take steps towards increasing their income and becoming self-reliant by adopting integrated and modern farming techniques.
