How is the price of LPG decided?
LPG cylinder prices depend on many factors. First, they are determined on the basis of Import Parity Price (IPP), which includes the price of gas in the international market, dollar-rupee exchange rate, freight, insurance and taxes. Taxes and logistics costs are different in each state of the country, hence there is a difference in LPG prices in different states.
