While on Sunday there was a decline of about ₹ 2000 in the price of silver, there was a slight increase of ₹ 200 in the price of gold. In the city bullion market, the price of 18 carat silver was ₹ 1,58,000, while the price of pure silver was ₹ 1,58,900 per kg. Talking about gold, 24 carat gold was recorded at ₹ 1,26,700 per 10 grams, 23 carat jewelery gold at ₹ 1,21,630 and 22 carat gold at ₹ 1,16,565 per 10 grams.
Price fluctuations become a cause of trouble
Mehta said that the biggest impact of this instability is being seen on small traders. Due to daily change in prices, the mathematics of buying and selling gets spoiled and due to high prices, customers are also making purchases thoughtfully. Many families finalize the budget before marriage, but their problems increase due to changing market prices. Despite this, the demand for jewelery is not decreasing during the wedding season.
