New Delhi (PTI). Gold Rate Today: In the country’s capital New Delhi, gold prices jumped by Rs 389 to reach the level of Rs 48,866 per 10 grams. According to HDFC Securities, gold prices went up due to weakness in the rupee and the rise in the global bullion market. In the last trading session, the gold price had closed at Rs 48,477 per 10 gram level.
Silver reached Rs 64,726 per kg
In the domestic bullion market, silver rose by Rs 1,137 to Rs 64,726 per kg on Monday. The silver contract closed at Rs 63,589 per kg in the previous trading session. The rupee slipped 24 paise against the US dollar on Monday. The price of a dollar is Rs 73.48.
Gold improves despite strengthening dollar
With the rise in the international bullion market, gold prices reached 1,853 dollars per ounce. While the silver rate remained stable at the level of 25.14 dollars per ounce. HDFC Securities Senior Commodity Analyst Tapan Patel said that gold prices corrected on Monday despite the fear of Corona virus going down on Friday.
