Now if a family goes out after locking their house for a wedding or any function, the police will take charge of the security of the house in their absence. People just have to inform the nearest police station or post. Police will ensure security by increasing additional patrolling in that area.
Agra: To stop the increasing incidents of theft and vandalism in Agra, UP, the police has started a unique and commendable initiative. Now, if any person from the city goes out after locking his house for a wedding, any function or for a long time, then the police will take the responsibility of security of his house. You just have to inform the nearest police station or post and the police will increase patrolling in that area and keep a special eye on the house.
Increasing incidents of theft increase concern
As soon as the wedding season started, incidents of theft suddenly increased in Agra. Many vacant houses were becoming the target of thieves. In view of this situation, Agra Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar has implemented this new system so that people can go out of their homes without any worries. The Police Commissioner said that those houses which are locked when people go out, become easy targets for thieves. Therefore, now if any citizen wants to go out, he can give prior information to his nearest police station. As soon as the information is received, the police will increase surveillance in that area.
Police will do special surveillance of the house
Under the new initiative, all citizens have to do is to inform the local police post or police station before going on a trip or function for how many days they are going out. On receiving information, police patrolling will be increased in that area, special surveillance will be done at night, suspicious persons will be kept under watch, additional patrolling will also be done around the house if necessary, this system is very useful especially for those people who keep their house closed for several days to attend the wedding of distant relatives or any family function.

People will now be able to go out without any worries after locking their houses. Police Commissioner told how the initiative will work
Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar said that this step will not be limited to just increasing patrolling. If information about any suspicious activity is received near the house of the person giving information, the police will immediately reach the spot. If any suspicious person is seen roaming around at night, he will be interrogated. This will definitely reduce the incidents of theft. He has appealed to the people to inform the police without any hesitation while going out. This will also help the police to further improve security arrangements.
