New Delhi: The troubles of the Luthra Brothers, who absconded after the massive fire in Goa’s night club, are showing no signs of ending. Despite being detained by immigration officials in Thailand, his return to India is being delayed. According to Indian government sources, the deportation is stuck due to the legal procedures there. On the other hand, a Delhi court has completely rejected the transit anticipatory bail plea of Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra. Considering his conduct and the seriousness of the case, the court clearly refused to grant relief. Investigation has revealed that as soon as the news of fire in the club was received, both the brothers booked tickets overnight and fled the country. Thai officials say that they have hidden the real purpose of the visit. Now they can be kept in the detention center there.
Why is there a delay in deporting Luthra Brothers to India?
The Indian Embassy can prepare this document immediately. But it also involves other legal formalities. The Thai administration is now moving towards canceling the visas of the Luthra brothers. The basis for this is that he had misled the immigration officers about the true purpose of his visit.
According to the rules, tourist visa is given only for tourism. Whereas the Blue Notice of Interpol proves that he was a fugitive from Indian law. An official said that visa cancellation may require a Thai court order. This order will declare him as living in Thailand illegally. Only this process will pave the way for deportation.
