The victim has made serious allegations against Ajit Sharma, resident of Katka village of Singhwada police station area, and his family like cheating, exploitation and pressure for abortion.
Chandigarh: In search of her lover, 21-year-old pregnant Manisha Kumari reached Darbhanga, 1200 kilometers away from Haryana. The victim has made serious allegations against Ajit Sharma, resident of Katka village of Singhwada police station area, and his family like cheating, exploitation and pressure for abortion. Manisha told the police that after separation from her first husband, Ajit blackmailed her by showing her photographs and married her in Kalkaji temple in January 2025 and took her with him to Haryana.
Ajit’s family sent Manisha away
When she became pregnant, Ajit forced her to abort the baby and ran away after 7 months of pregnancy. When she reached Katka village when she was eight months pregnant, Ajit and his family refused to accept her as his wife and daughter-in-law and drove her away. On the written complaint of the victim, Singhwada police station case number 353/25 has been registered. The police are investigating and taking further action in the matter.
Manisha told the story of her affair with Ajit
According to the report of Dainik Bhaskar, Manisha was married to Ritesh Thakur, a resident of Katka village of Singhwada police station area of Darbhanga district, in the year 2022. But later she had an affair with her husband’s friend Ajit Sharma, after which Ritesh divorced her and she started living with Ajit. Manisha told that the company in which she worked. She used to give her entire salary to Ajit. Ajit told him that he had taken a loan of some money and would need the money for that. His and Ajit’s salary was Rs 14,000 each. Ajit used to come home on time. But she used to work overtime to meet the needs of the household.
Manisha demanded action
Meanwhile she became pregnant. On 15 September 2025, Ajit left her and came to Katka, Darbhanga. A month later, Ajit himself called on messenger and said that he was getting married for the second time. Then she reached Ajit Sharma’s house on 2 November. Talked to the Sarpanch and the Chief. But Ajit’s family threw him out. After this, she went to the police station on 1 December and 8 December and lodged a complaint against her husband. Urmila told that her first demand is that her house should be settled somehow. If this does not happen then action should be taken against Ajit and his family.
