Ginger Barfi Recipe
The ministry also gives a special recipe for making ginger barfi. For this, fresh ginger, desi jaggery and desi ghee along with dry ginger, cumin, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, pippali and coriander powder are required. If you want, you can also add Nagkesar-Vidang in it. You can also add sesame seeds, which makes the barfi even more nutritious.
Method
– First melt the jaggery on low flame and make a thick syrup.
– Add grated ginger to it and fry for 5-7 minutes.
– Then add ghee and cook for 5-10 minutes.
– After this add fine powder of all the spices and keep stirring for 8-10 more minutes.
When the mixture starts leaving the pan, spread it in a greased plate, cool it and cut it into pieces.
– When it cools completely, keep it in an airtight container. It remains completely fresh for a whole month.
