Jaisalmer Delhi Train Update: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, giving a big gift to the passengers of Jaisalmer, has declared the new name of Jaisalmer-Delhi Shakur Basti train as Swarnnagari Express. Besides, operation of many new trains from Jaisalmer has also been announced. With this, passengers will get the benefit of better connectivity, easy travel and additional facilities.

Jaisalmer: Jaisalmer, the golden city of Thar Desert, has got direct superfast connectivity with Delhi. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav today flagged off the new Dainik Superfast Express from Jaisalmer Railway Station, which has now been named ‘Swarnanagari Express’. This train will run between Shakur Basti in Delhi to Jaisalmer and will provide fast, safe travel to the passengers. The Minister announced that operation of many new trains will be increased from Jaisalmer, which will revolutionize tourism, business and daily travel. This step is part of the railway projects of Rajasthan, where schemes worth more than Rs 55 thousand crore are underway.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said at the inauguration ceremony, “It is our priority to connect a tourist destination like Jaisalmer with Delhi. The Swarnnagari Express will bring the cultural heritage of Thar on the national stage.” This train running under train number 12249/12250 has been named on the recommendation of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The Railway Board had given approval on November 22, and daily operations started from today. Vaishnav stressed that rail development in Rajasthan will benefit millions of passengers, especially in the border areas. This announcement fulfills the age-old demand of passengers, who were troubled by limited trains.
