Are you fond of gardening, but the leaves of the plants you have planted are turning yellow? Apart from this, insects are also harming them. In such a situation, you can use organic fertilizers and pesticides instead of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The good thing is that these can be prepared at home from kitchen waste. This improves the growth of plants and also reduces expenses. These indigenous methods protect the plants and keep the garden healthy.
Gardening expert Ankit Verma told that the kitchen waste generated daily in the house is used in making organic fertilizer. Vegetable peels, fruits, tea leaves and egg shells can prove beneficial for garden plants. Mix some soil in it and keep it covered with a lid. Keep stirring it every 2 to 3 days so that air circulation is maintained. This compost is ready in about 20 to 25 days. This manure provides essential nutrients to the plants and makes the soil soft. With this compost, the roots of the plants become stronger and growth increases naturally.
According to expert Ankit Verma, if you have cow dung available then it is considered to be the best organic fertilizer. Mix dry leaves and some water in cow dung and make a pile. Keep it in the shade and keep turning it from time to time. It turns into good fertilizer in about a month. Those who do not have cow dung can make leaf compost only from dry leaves and grass. This manure maintains soil moisture and promotes micro organisms. This type of fertilizer gives good yield in vegetables and flowers.
