Happy Seeder Machine: To make wheat cultivation easy and economical, farmers can use a special machine called Happy Seeder. This machine cuts the stubble into small pieces and buries it in the soil, due to which it gets converted into compost. With this the work of plowing the field and sowing seeds is also completed.
West Champaran: Most of the farmers of Bihar cultivate wheat on a large scale as their main crop. After the harvesting of paddy, the wheat sowing season is currently going on. Agricultural scientists say that farmers should complete this work by 10th December at the latest, only then will the crop yield be improved. Farmers are taking various measures to reduce the labor and expenses involved in farming, although they are not getting much benefit from it. In such a situation, agricultural scientists have shared such information with the farmers, which will reduce both the cost and labor involved in wheat cultivation by half.
There will be no need to burn stubble
Dr. Chelapuri Ramulu, an agricultural scientist working at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Madhopur, says that to make wheat cultivation easy and economical, farmers can use a special machine called Happy Seeder. This machine reduces the duration of farming and the expenses incurred in it by almost half. In traditional wheat farming, the first problem that arises is burning of stubble. This stubble is left in the fields after harvesting the paddy, which the farmers have to burn. This has a bad effect on the environment and also increases the hard work of the farmers. But this problem gets eliminated with Happy Seeder Machine.
plowing and sowing all at once
This machine cuts the stubble into small pieces and buries it in the soil, due to which it gets converted into compost. Increases soil fertility. The interesting thing is that along with this work, the work of plowing the field and sowing seeds is also completed. Actually, in the traditional method of wheat cultivation, first the work of harvesting stubble, then plowing the field and then sowing the seeds is done. In this, the hard work and expenses of the farmers increase with time. But with the use of Happy Seeder, farmers can complete all these tasks in one go.
Saving 12 kg seed per acre
According to Ramulu, you can understand it like this. It takes two to three hours for farmers to cultivate wheat in one acre. But with the use of Happy Seeder, farmers can complete the work of stubble disposal, plowing the field and sowing seeds in just one hour. The interesting thing is that while in the traditional method up to 52 kg of seeds are required in one acre, whereas with machine sowing only 40 kg of seeds are required. That means saving 12 kg of seeds in every acre. Similarly, up to four and a half liters of diesel is saved per acre.
Great saving of time, money and effort
Now you can guess for yourself how much difference there is between wheat cultivation in the traditional way and its cultivation with the Happy Seeder machine. By using it, farmers can save a lot not only in time and effort but also in expenses. The great thing is that you can also take this machine on rent from Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
