In this video viral on social media, see how a giant elephant was counting the last breaths of his life after getting trapped in a swamp. Then some good hearted people risked their lives to take him out and give him a new life.
The relationship between humanity and voiceless animals is centuries old. Whenever any living being is in trouble, the compassionate nature of man stands as a shield to save it. Recently, one such video was shared by ‘The Dodo’ on social media, in which a giant elephant is seen badly trapped in a swamp. This elephant had sunk so deep into that deadly trap of mud that it was impossible for it to get out on its own. Yamraj in the form of death was very close to him, but then some brave people came for him in the form of angels and after hours of struggle, took him out safely. They tied thick ropes and straps around the elephant’s body so that it could be pulled safely.
It can be seen in the video that the elephant is buried up to its neck in the swamp. The grip of the swamp was so strong that the more the elephant tried to move, the more it would sink down. In such a situation, the local people present there and the rescue workers of Sheldrick Wildlife Trust tied ropes and straps around the body of the elephant. This work was risky, as a small mistake could not only kill the elephant but also pose a threat to the rescue workers. People kept pulling the ropes again and again and supporting the elephant. The biggest challenge during the rescue operation was the weight of the elephant and the pressure of the swamp. But the rescue team did not give up. He continuously removed the mud and gave courage to the elephant. As time passed, the elephant’s strength was giving way, but the enthusiasm of the people did not diminish.
Finally, after many hours of hard work, the moment came when the elephant gained a grip on the ground and slowly managed to get out of the swamp. As soon as he stood on the ground, the happiness of the people present there knew no bounds. Looking at the elephant’s eyes, it seemed as if it too had a feeling of gratitude towards its rescuers who had brought it back from death. This incident also teaches us that due to rising temperatures and drying up of water sources, wild animals often move to such dangerous areas in search of water and food. Getting trapped in a swamp is considered the most painful death for any large animal, because hunger, thirst and suffocation come together here. But this successful rescue proved that with collective effort and strong willpower, any impossible task can be made possible. Crores of people have seen this video so far on social media.
