Poultry farming in winter: Winter comes as a disaster for poultry farmers. During this time, even a small mistake can cause huge damage, but now there is no need to panic. With its help, egg and chicken production will not reduce even in cold waves.
These days, due to continuous drop in temperature, the outbreak of cold wave is increasing. Such poultry farmers need special care of their chickens amid the increasing cold. To protect the chickens from cold, install electric bulbs so that the temperature remains normal. Not taking proper care during winter season not only affects the production of eggs and meat, their health can also deteriorate.
The risk of germs and parasites increases in winter. That is why maintain utmost cleanliness and use disinfectant chemicals containing lemongrass leaves and neem oil, so that there is no effect on their health.
To protect from cold winds, put thick curtains all around. Tie bamboo at the lower parts, so that the curtains do not blow away in strong winds. Remove the curtain when the sun rises in the morning.

Inspect the enclosure daily. If any hen appears unwell, immediately contact the nearest veterinary hospital and get it treated.
During the winter season, chickens should be kept in a dry and clean environment, so that they are not at risk of any kind of disease. In this season, chickens are more at risk of disease.
