For the first time, a consignment of cars has reached Mizoram’s Sairang railway station directly by rail. A total of 119 Maruti cars were included in this rake brought from Changsari, Assam. It is believed that because this will increase the availability of vehicles in Aizawl and surrounding areas.
New Delhi. In Mizoram, which is dependent on mountains and winding roads, cars will no longer travel long distances and come by trucks. Creating history, for the first time 119 cars have reached Mizoram directly by train. This consignment landed at Sairang railway station indicated that now the delivery of cars in the state is going to be faster, cheaper and easier.
Mizoram’s automobile sector will get a big benefit with the start of movement of cars by rail. Vehicles will reach dealers faster and at lower cost, which will provide relief to both service providers and customers. Reduction in transport expenses may also have a positive impact on vehicle prices in future.
Bairabi-Sairang railway line becomes the backbone of development
The 51.38 km long Bairabi-Sairang railway line is a major infrastructure achievement of Mizoram. This line passing through 45 tunnels has been built in hilly and difficult areas. Through this, Mizoram’s connectivity with the rest of the country has been strengthened, making both trade and travel easier.
