Sitamarhi News: Sitamarhi District Magistrate Richie Pandey said that any kind of delay or indifference of the officer in hearing the cases related to the public is unacceptable. He gave clear instructions that all the officers should remain present on time and keep the complaint redressal process smooth.
The hearing of the second appeals under the Public Grievance Redressal Rights Act was held in the office of Sitamarhi Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Richie Pandey. During the hearing, complaints related to various departments were discussed in detail. In this sequence, the SHO of Nanpur police station was found absent without any prior notice, due to which the hearing process was disrupted. Taking the matter seriously, the DM termed it administrative negligence and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000.
District Magistrate Richie Pandey said that any kind of delay or indifference of the officer in hearing the cases related to the public is unacceptable. He gave clear instructions that all the officers should remain present on time and keep the complaint redressal process smooth. This action of DM is being considered an important step towards ensuring accountability and transparency in the administrative system. Also, a total of 14 secondary appeals were reviewed during the hearing, out of which orders were passed immediately on 7 cases.
Complaints of common citizens should be heard on time

To strengthen the solution to the problems of the public, the Janata Darbar program was organized in a new format in the district. In which block, zonal, sub-division and district level officials remained directly connected through video conferencing. With this system, complaints of people from remote areas could also be heard quickly. This step of the administration has increased public confidence. This arrangement is being considered an example of DM Richie Pandey’s transparent and public welfare thinking.
