Dr. Nadeem Akhtar of Saharsa advised DBW 187 Karan Vandana, Sabour Samriddhi and Sabour Srishta variety for delayed wheat sowing, zero tillage technology is also beneficial.
SarhasaToday we are going to talk about delayed wheat sowing and selection of the right variety, because it has often been seen that due to choosing the wrong variety or late sowing, farmers have to suffer a huge loss of yield per hectare, If there is a delay in wheat sowing due to rain, how farmers can manage it, we will tell you today in this news,
In fact, Dr. Nadeem Akhtar, scientist at the Agricultural Research Center of Saharsa, says that if farmers choose wheat varieties thoughtfully and adopt the right technology, they can achieve higher yields even if sowing is late. Many times, due to weather, moisture or delay in field preparation, farmers are not able to sow wheat on time. In such a situation, if a normal variety is sown, it is not able to give that much yield in late sowing, due to which the yield can be lost up to one quintal per hectare per day. Therefore, it is very important to choose such varieties which can give good yield even in late conditions.
These three varieties give better yield
According to scientist Dr. Nadeem Akhtar, DBW 187 i.e. Karan Vandana is also included in the best variety for late sowing. This variety gives excellent yield even in late situations with an average yield of 50 to 60 quintals per hectare. It takes 120 to 125 days, hence this variety is very beneficial for the farmers who sow wheat late. The second seed is Sabor Samriddhi, it also gives good yield even in late sowing. The third one is Sabor Srishta, it is also considered a useful variety for late sowing. If there is sufficient moisture in your fields at this time, then experts recommend adopting zero tillage. Due to this, the consumption of urea is reduced, soil moisture remains safe and sowing is completed quickly, by sowing with zero tillage machine, the crop emerges faster and time is also saved.
The seeds are of high quality
Scientists clearly say that if wheat is not sown before December 10, there can be a loss of more than one quintal of yield per hectare per day, hence try not to delay and sow immediately after getting proper moisture. Farmers can also buy certified seeds of the variety of their choice from Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The seeds available here are of high quality and experts also give you the right advice.
