The seeds of this variety are being distributed free of cost among the farmers in every block of the district by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. While 10 kg seeds of Red Gram variety are available in the market for around Rs 1000, the same seeds are being given to the farmers absolutely free from Krishi Vigyan Kendra. On an average, 8 to 10 kg seeds are being provided to a farmer, so that he can easily sow gram in a suitable field.

Agricultural experts say that Red Gram variety gives good yield even in less water. It is also more resistant to diseases. Its most special thing is that this crop is ready in 3 to 4 months, due to which farmers get good profits in a short time. According to estimates, farmers can earn Rs 30 to 40 thousand from one hectare of land, which makes it a very profitable option for farmers in Rabi season. Krishi Vigyan Kendra has appealed to the farmers to contact the nearest agriculture office and get seeds. Increase your income by farming scientifically.
