Karthik Baid has been cultivating broccoli for the last seven years. He brings fresh broccoli to the police line in Jagdalpur every day and sells it. 50–60 kg of broccoli is easily sold in about a day. Because broccoli has high protein content, it is sold quickly. Karthik Baid claimed that he sells broccoli worth Rs 12 thousand every day.

Farmer Karthik from the team of Local 18 tells that I have planted broccoli in 50 decimals. For this, first of all the field was plowed two-three times. After this the land was pulverized with a rotavator. Then made the bed, kept the distance of the bed four feet. Mulching and drip applied. Put two trolleys of cow dung manure in it and planted broccoli. Apart from cow dung, earthworm manure was also added.

On the question of diseases affecting broccoli, Karthik Baid says that a heavy dose is given to the plants 15-20 days after planting, which prevents the outbreak of diseases. 50 Decimal has cost Rs 40 thousand from start to finish. This 50 decimal will generate an income of approximately Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand. Currently he is selling broccoli for Rs 200 per kg. Every day 50–60 kg of broccoli is brought and Rs 10–12 thousand are sold in a day. This crop planted in September becomes ready in 90 days.
