Chitrakoot News: A clerk posted in the DPRO office of Chitrakoot district was working for 20 years on the basis of fake documents. If the allegations are found true in the investigation, orders have been given to suspend the clerk and take departmental action.
Chitrakoot. Clerk Kanishka Babu alias Surendra Kumar Chaturvedi, who has been working in the District Panchayat Raj Officer (DPRO) office of Chitrakoot for the last 20 years, has been exposed. Investigation revealed that he had obtained the job under the deceased dependent quota by making a fake certificate and was embezzling salary from the government treasury for two decades.
After receiving complaints for a long time, the District Development Officer (DDO) got the matter thoroughly investigated. Investigation revealed that Kanishka Babu, through forged documents, claimed to be the adopted son of a deceased employee and on this basis got a job in the DPRO department.
Accused clerk absconding
The incident has created a stir in the department. The district administration has ordered to re-examine the appointment documents of all the dependents of the deceased so that any such case can be detected. The District Magistrate has said that strictest action will be taken against those committing fraud, no matter how old the case is. At present the accused clerk is said to be absconding and the police is searching for him.
