The European Medicines Agency said in the report that people should be aware of its symptoms, so that they can recognize them in time and seek medical attention immediately. The European Medicine Agency has classified thrombocytopenia (a decline in platelet levels) as “normal”. This means that one in 100 people may have such side effects. At the same time, less than one in 10 people can get such symptoms. The occurrence of thrombocytopenia with clotting occurs as “very rare”. This can happen with only one in 10,000 vaccinated individuals. AstraZeneca has also updated the package leaflets of this vaccine. These include warnings, symptoms and precautions regarding blood leakage or blood clots in the brain, intestine, liver, spleen. The EMA stated, ‘A very rare type of clotting can occur in the veins on the surface of the brain. From here, blood reaches the intestines and arteries.
The EMA said, ‘Most of the cases registered so far have been reported only in women below 60 years of age. Most of these cases occurred within two weeks of taking the first dose. There is limited experience with the second dose. ‘ The report says that the benefits of the vaccine are more than just reducing the risk for people, as it has been effective in preventing the spread of Kovid-19 and reducing the number of deaths.
