England’s Stuart Broad achieved this feat by dismissing New Zealand captain Tom Latham. Broad took 519 wickets in Test cricket as soon as Latham was dismissed. Gentleman fast bowler Courtney Walsh of the West Indies also has 519 Test wickets.
34-year-old Stuart Broad has now come jointly to sixth place in terms of taking most Test wickets. Before the start of the second Test match between England and New Zealand, Broad had 518 wickets in his name. He took New Zealand’s first wicket in the second Test. There is more than three days left in the match. In such a situation, there is every possibility that Broad will leave Courtney Walsh behind by taking more wickets in this match. Broad touched the figure of 519 wickets in the 148th match. Walsh took 519 wickets in 132 matches.

Cricket lovers know that the world record for taking most wickets in Test cricket is in the name of Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan. Off-spinner Muralitharan took 800 wickets in his Test career. Australia’s leg-spinner Shane Warne is at number three with 708 and Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble is at number three with 619 wickets. England’s James Anderson is fourth in the list of bowlers with most Test wickets. If only fast bowlers are talked about, Anderson is at number one in taking the most Test wickets. He has taken 616 wickets. Australia’s Glenn McGrath (563) is at number five in terms of taking the most wickets. They are followed by Walsh and Stuart Broad.
