English fast bowler Ollie Robinson missed out on taking five wickets in his debut Test on the second day of the Lord’s Test between England and New Zealand. Actually, Stuart Broad left a simple catch of Tim Southee on his ball. Robinson took 4 wickets for 75 runs in the first innings.
New Delhi. The first match of the two-Test series between England and New Zealand is being played at Lord’s. Three players made their Test debut from this match. These include Devon Conway of New Zealand, Ollie Robinson of England and James Bracey. Conway created history by scoring a double century in the debut match itself. He became the first cricketer to score a double century while debuting in England. However, England fast bowler Robinson missed out on taking a five-wicket haul in his first Test due to Stuart Broad dropping a simple catch.
Robinson bowled brilliantly in the first innings of the Lord’s Test. He gave England the first success in the form of Tom Latham. He had taken four wickets for 75 runs. His eyes were on taking five wickets in the debut Test. New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee was on strike. Southee tried to hit Robinson’s ball by lifting it over mid-on.
