Dozens of villages will get relief from the commencement of Alternate Power Line Project worth Rs 8.34 crore in Padav area. This initiative will reduce power cuts and give new impetus to development.
Chandauli: A major step has been taken towards strengthening the electricity system in Mughalsarai assembly constituency of the district. MLA Ramesh Jaiswal inaugurated the Alternate Power Line Project approved at a cost of about Rs 8 crore 34 lakh 71 thousand in Padav area. This project is expected to provide uninterrupted power supply to thousands of people in the area. During the program organized in Padav area, MLA Ramesh Jaiswal started the Alternate Power Line project by cutting the ribbon in the presence of local people. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the villagers on this occasion. People called it a historic and long-awaited initiative for the region.
What is Alternate Power Line Project?
MLA Ramesh Jaiswal said that this alternate line will act as a backup for the 33000 volt main power line. If due to any reason there is a breakdown in the main line, this alternate line will become active immediately. Due to this, power supply will not be disrupted and consumers will get relief from long cuts. The MLA said that with the commencement of this project, hospitals, drinking water supply, schools and other essential services will not be affected by the power crisis. Now the problem of power cuts will end to a great extent. This project has been prepared keeping in mind the daily needs of the general public.
Got a big facility for the first time after independence
Ramesh Jaiswal said that for the first time after independence, arrangements for alternate power lines are being made in this area. Before this, no public representative had made any concrete effort in this direction. He called it a historic achievement for the region. After the completion of this project, 20 to 25 villages will get direct benefits. This will solve the electricity related problems of thousands of families. People living in rural areas will now get relief from frequent power cuts.
Agriculture and trade will get strength
The MLA said that agricultural activities will also get huge benefits from better power supply. Problems related to irrigation will reduce and farmers will be able to do their work on time. Besides, small traders and entrepreneurs will also get a boost in their business by getting permanent electricity. This project is expected to improve the standard of living in rural areas. Smooth power supply to students’ studies, household work and small industries will get a new impetus. This project will open new avenues of development.
Public representatives and officials appreciated the step
The public representatives and electricity department officials present on the occasion described this project as a milestone for the area. He said that this will strengthen the power system and future needs can also be met. A large number of villagers including Executive Engineer Sunil Yadav, SDO Manoj Kashyap, JE Niranjan Singh, Jaideep Tiwari, Divisional President Sandeep Patel, Bakhra Pradhan Satish Patel were present in the program. Everyone expressed hope for successful implementation of the project.
