An amount of Rs 11.5 crore has been provided by the government for the construction of Rasidpur electric power sub-station. Out of this, a modern substation building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 8.5 crore. Along with this, the work of laying power lines will be done at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore.
Shivhar: A big step has been taken towards making the electricity system strong and reliable in Shivhar district of Bihar. This decision has been taken to balance the increasing electricity load in the city and rural areas. To overcome the problem of frequent breakdowns and overloading, three additional electric power substations are being constructed. With the start of these new sub-stations, not only will the power supply be smooth, but it will also provide relief to the people from the power cuts during the summer season. The electricity department claims that this will ensure better power supply 24 hours a day.
Construction site officials inspected
In the same sequence, on Friday, under the leadership of Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department, Chhaviendra Prasad, the construction site of the proposed Rasidpur Electric Power Substation near Srinwab High School in the urban area was measured and inspected. During the inspection, departmental engineers and personnel assessed the condition of the land, access roads and technical requirements related to the construction. Executive Engineer said that a total of three new substations are being built in Vrindavan of Tariyani block of the district, Bakhar Chandiha of Purnahiya block and Rasidpur of urban area, which will strengthen the electricity system of the entire district.
Government gave funds

With the commissioning of this sub-station, the electric load of the city will be distributed and the excessive pressure currently on two-three feeders will be reduced. This will reduce the incidents of technical malfunctions and faults and the power supply will become more stable.
10 thousand houses will get direct benefits
About 10 thousand houses of more than 50 villages including Rasidpur, Kushahar, Mohari, Mahuaria will get direct benefits from the new Rasidpur sub-centre. Local villager Dharichan Sah said that more than 500 houses in Rasidpur village alone will start getting regular and quality electricity. This will greatly benefit domestic consumers as well as farmers and traders. Irrigation of fields, small industries and businesses will be able to operate uninterrupted. Overall, three new substations will work to give new energy to the development of Sheohar district.
