Bokaro Farmer Made Tractor That Runs With Battery: Shyamlal Mahato of Simulia village of Bokaro has made a battery-powered Jugaad tractor with three years of hard work. It is very light and very useful. When he was making it, people used to make fun of him.
Bokaro. Electrician Shyamlal Mahato, resident of small village Simulia in Chandankyari block of Bokaro district, has set a new example by preparing a battery operated Jugaad tractor with his indigenous innovation and strong spirit. After this unique innovation, he is being highly appreciated across the district. This tractor, which runs without diesel, is capable of plowing more than 10 decimal fields in just 2 hours and which can prove to be very helpful for the farmers in future.
When a problem arose, an invention was made.
In a special conversation, Shyamlal Mahato told that he got the inspiration to make this machine from his own experience. He said that when a tractor was needed for plowing the fields, one had to depend on others in the village and at times had to be coaxed. To avoid this problem, he decided to make a machine himself.
Tractor made in three years
Further, Shyamlal Mahato told that it took him about 3 years of hard work to make this Jugaad tractor and this machine is operated by motor and battery. It cost him about Rs 8000 to make it, in which materials like motor, battery, switch, angle and pipe were used.
people used to tease me by calling me crazy
In the initial phase, when he was working on this machine, many people of the village used to taunt him by calling him mad, but he never gave up. When the tractor was ready, the same people praised his hard work and passion and started praising him. Today everyone wishes that they also have such a tractor which can do the work easily and at low cost.
goal of patenting
Shyamlal Mahato’s next objective is to patent this Jugaad tractor, so that farmers can have a better and useful machine at a lower cost. Due to this machine being light, it can be easily taken to the fields and can provide good profits to the farmers in farming. They will soon start their efforts in this direction so that every farmer can get its benefits.
