Ram Temple Dhwajarohan: The festive sound of the flag hoisting on the peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya is now echoing in the entire country. The resonance of this divine atmosphere has reached Chapra in Bihar, where there is such a flood of reverence in the Gautam Sthan temple as if the festival of Ayodhya itself has been revived here.

On January 22 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had consecrated Ramlala in the sanctum sanctorum. After this, now the formal announcement of its completion is being made with the hoisting of the flag on the peak of the newly constructed Ram temple. A five-day special ritual regarding the program is concluding today in Ayodhya. Its enthusiasm is visible in the entire country. In this context, there is an atmosphere of reverence and joy in the famous Gautam Sthan temple located in Chhapra, Bihar. Here women are singing the hymns of Lord Ram and a large number of devotees are reaching the temple premises every day for darshan. The importance of Gautam place is also special because it is believed that it was here that Lord Shri Ram saved sage Gautam’s wife Ahilya. It is said that Ahilya was freed from her stone form by touching the feet of Ram and her footprints are still present in the temple.
Flood of devotees in Gautam Sthan temple
Before the announcement of completion of Ramlala, an amazing form of bhajan, kirtan and spiritual enthusiasm is visible in Maharishi Gautam temple. Let us tell you that the statues of Maharishi Gautam, Ahilya, his daughter, Hanuman ji’s mother Anjani and Lord Shiva are also installed in the temple premises. The sequence of worship continues every day, but on the occasion of flag hoisting on 25th November, special worship and bhajan-kirtan arrangements have been made here. Local people believe that the religious sound of Ayodhya has now reached Saran district and there is a renewed flow of devotion in the temples.
Gautam place is attracting devotees
The history of Gautam Rishi Pathshala situated in the neighborhood of Gautam Sthan Temple also attracts people. Although, there is no concrete evidence available of its ancient form, but its relation is linked to the Gurukul of Maharishi Gautam. It is said that this school is very ancient, where Sanskrit, Nyaya Shastra and Vedic subjects were once taught by learned teachers.

Maharishi Gautam is considered the pioneer of Jurisprudence. For this reason, this school is considered an important link in the judicial tradition. It is also mentioned in page 141 of Saran Gazetteer of the year 1908, in which it has been described as a center associated with the education tradition of Gautam Rishi.
