Chandauli Latest News: Due to continuously increasing cold and cold wave in Chandauli district, the district administration has taken an important decision in the interest of school children. On the orders of the District Magistrate, the timings of all schools from nursery to class eight have been changed. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety and health of the children, so that they can get relief from the harsh cold of the morning.
Chandauli: In view of the increasing cold and cold wave in the district, the district administration has taken a big decision in the interest of school children. On the instructions of District Magistrate Chandra Mohan Garg, the timings of all the schools in the district have been changed. This order has been implemented with immediate effect under the Disaster Management Act, so that there is no adverse effect on the health of children due to cold.
Decision taken in view of cold wave
The cold has been continuously increasing in the district for the last few days. The effect of cold wave is most visible in the morning and late evening. The administration says that due to low temperature small children were facing difficulty in going to school. Keeping this in mind, the District Magistrate has issued an order to change the timings of schools, so that children can get relief and their studies are not disrupted.
School timings changed
Giving information, District Basic Education Officer Sachin Kumar said that now classes from nursery to class 8 will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm in all the Basic Education Council schools, non-government aided schools, Kasturba Gandhi Girls School and other board-run government and non-government schools of the district. This order will apply equally to all schools.

The district administration has made it clear that this decision has been taken completely keeping in mind the safety and health of the children. Due to cold, there is a possibility of increasing problems like cold, cough and fever in children. Especially for small children, morning cold can be quite harmful. The administration has instructed all the headmasters and principals of the district to ensure strict compliance with the order. Necessary action can be taken if any school ignores the order. The district administration has also said that other necessary arrangements should also be ensured in schools to protect children from cold.
