Delhi government is considering opening 4 new RTOs
On the lines of other states, the Delhi government is also considering opening four more transport offices in view of the increasing congestion in RTO. According to Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot, 13 Transport Regional Offices are running in Delhi so far. In these offices, the work of issuing driving license, international driving license, registration of vehicles and operator’s license is being done. During the Corona period, the workload in these offices has increased, so two to three months waiting for driving license is going on. Despite the instructions to reduce waiting time, there has not been much improvement in the situation.
