Udaipur Train Update: Keeping in mind the increasing winter and tourist season in Udaipur, Railways has decided to give temporary stoppage to two major trains. This will provide great relief to passengers traveling to and from Eastern India. In view of the increasing tourist pressure in the city, this step is being considered very useful, which will make travel even easier.
Udaipur: With the onset of winter in Udaipur, the movement of passengers in the city has started increasing rapidly. The tourism season is at its peak and along with it, due to weddings and New Year programs, a large crowd of people is seen at hotels, bus stands and railway stations. In view of this increasing crowd, Railways has taken an important decision to temporarily give an additional stop to two important trains running on the Udaipur route.
The number of devotees and travelers traveling to Eastern India on the occasion of the 359th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj increases significantly every year. Keeping this in mind, Railways has given permission to stop Bhagalpur-Ajmer-Bhagalpur Weekly Express and Kolkata-Udaipur-Kolkata Weekly Express for two minutes at Patna Sahib station from December 19 to January 2. Patna Sahib is the same station where thousands of devotees travel during the Jayanti.
Passengers traveling to and from Udaipur will get direct benefit
Passengers traveling to and from Udaipur will directly benefit from this decision. In the last few years, the number of tourists coming to Udaipur from Kolkata, Patna and Bhagalpur has continuously increased. A large number of people from families to students and working people go to Udaipur to visit during holidays. In such a situation, this temporary stoppage will give them a lot of relief from the trouble of changing trains or going far away to catch another train.
According to the timetable released by the Railways: Train 13423 (Bhagalpur-Ajmer) will stop at Patna Sahib from 16:55 to 16:57. Train 13424 (Ajmer-Bhagalpur) will stop from 10:00 to 10:02. Train 12315 (Kolkata-Udaipur) will stop from 20:54. Will take stop till 20:56 hrs. Train 12316 (Udaipur-Kolkata) will stop at Patna Sahib from 05:34 to 05:36 hrs.
The number of passengers is continuously increasing
These days the number of passengers is continuously increasing at Udaipur station also. Local railway officials say that even small changes in long distance trains increase the convenience of passengers. Many trains remain full during the tourist season, so better connectivity helps in crowd management.
Railways has termed this entire decision as a temporary step taken to handle the increasing crowd in winter and to provide better facilities to the passengers. Local travelers welcomed this decision and said that now the journey to and from Eastern India to Udaipur will become easier and easier than before.
