Varanasi: Fog has started showing its havoc in Uttar Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, a blanket of dense fog remained in many parts of the state in the morning. Even on Monday (December 15), many cities of UP will be under this white sheet. Indian Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has made the prediction. It is estimated that after the next 24 hours the cold will increase further in UP and the minimum temperature will also drop by 2 degrees Celsius.
According to the information received from the Zonal Weather Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, on December 15, dense fog will be seen in many cities of Eastern UP as well as Western UP. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding this. However, after 24 hours the intensity of fog will reduce slightly. It is forecast that on Monday, there will be fog with 100 to 200 visibility in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Auriya, Etawah, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Mathura and Agra.
Weather will be like this from Ayodhya to Muzaffarnagar
Apart from this, light to moderate fog can be seen in Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Bareilly, Rampur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabirnagar, Basti, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur. However, as the day progresses, the sun will shine here too. It is estimated that the minimum temperature in these districts will be around 7 and the maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees Celsius.
Temperature will fall in Lucknow today
There will be a slight decrease in the minimum temperature in the state capital Lucknow on Monday. It is estimated that the minimum temperature in Lucknow today will be 10 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature today is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius. Even today the morning in Lucknow will be foggy. On the other hand, in Noida adjacent to Delhi, today the cold will be a little more than in the past. But there may be moderate fog in the beginning of the day.
Meerut’s coldest night
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that in the last 24 hours in UP, the lowest minimum temperature of 6.9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Meerut. He said that in the next 2 to 3 days, cold will increase in different districts of UP and the minimum temperature will see a decline.
