In such a situation, flour and gum laddus become the most favorite option in winter. Not only taste, these laddus are also beneficial for health. The nature of gum is hot, due to which it keeps the body warm from inside and also increases strength in cold weather, but often people get worried while making laddus because if not made properly, they start sticking to the mouth. If you follow the trick of this recipe, the laddus will be very soft, chewy and will dissolve in the mouth. It has a special method of roasting the flour which increases the taste of laddus manifold and they remain good for a long time. Flour and gum laddu recipe
first step
First of all, take 1 big cup of desi ghee and melt it on low flame. Then sift 2 cups wheat flour. Add 5-6 spoons of ghee in the flour and mix well. Now add about half a cup of milk and mix while spreading it so that there is slight moisture in the flour. Keep it like this for 20 minutes so that the dough gets set.
second step
Dry roast 1 bowl of makhana in a pan. After this, add some ghee and add 1 small bowl of almonds, 1 small bowl of cashews and 1 small bowl of walnuts and fry. Now take the remaining ghee and fry the gum on low flame. After roasting gum, add 1 small bowl of grated coconut and 2 spoons of poppy seeds and fry lightly for 2 minutes.
third step
Now sieve the flour through a sieve and put it in the pan. Add about half a cup of ghee in it and fry the flour until it turns golden. When the flour starts smelling, turn off the gas. After this, grate about 2 cups of jaggery. You can also use sugar or desi khand, if you want to make laddus with less ghee then melt the jaggery and add it.
fourth step
Grind all the dry fruits coarsely. Mix makhana, cashew nuts, almonds and walnuts. Now add it to the flour and also add raisins and chopped peas. After this, add coconut, poppy seeds, half teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder and a little grated nutmeg to the flour. Mix all the ingredients well.
fifth step
Add 1-2 spoons of ghee in the pan and cook till the jaggery melts. As soon as the jaggery melts, add it to the flour and dry fruits mixture. Mix well and make laddus immediately, if the mixture cools down a bit then add some ghee and heat it lightly. Your winter special flour and gum laddus are ready, which can be eaten throughout the season.
